We Can Fulfill Our Destiny
COMMON SENSE: Our lives lack power because we fail to utilize the provisions God has made available to us. Because we don’t, we are rendered incapable of being the men and women He has called us to be. This costs us dearly, especially in our resistance to the Progressive movement. Because we are
far less salty than we should or need to be, we are incapable of providing the seasoning our culture needs. The light we provide is not nearly as consistent nor as bright as it should be.
Although there are more Christians in America today than there have ever been, our influence is marginal at best. Being as accommodating to Progressivism as we have been, the fruit we generate frequently isn’t even what God intends for us to produce. We want to be nice and get along with Progressives, but we have to compromise who we are to accomplish this.
We want possessions, while God wants us to be fully engaged in His purposes. Frequently, this has nothing to do with materialism. Because our goals are different than God’s, we amble through life, talking about the abundant life of following Christ rather than being fully engaged in what is required to actually accomplish being fulfilled.
II Corinthians 10:5 says, “We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.” Most of us don’t even have a clue about what is required to make our thoughts “obedient to Christ.” Because we don’t, we “check out” when we read this verse. Knowing it is beyond our capability to accomplish, we simply dismiss it. This is a mistake.
Nearly every Christian has tried to make his or her thoughts obedient to Christ and failed miserably. Because this is true, this verse has become a conceptual truth, rather than something that we consider to be achievable.
Since it seems to be unrealistic, you may actually disbelieve it. Many Christians do. Because making our thoughts captive to Christ’s seems beyond our grasp, this verse can become very self-defeating. When it comes to making every thought captive and obedient to Christ, this is so far beyond our reach that the command seems ridiculous. Having tried and failed, we assume that it cannot be done. Consequently, many no longer even bother to try.
Because a literal interpretation of this verse produces defeat and despair, we dismiss it. Most of us skip over this verse mentally, discounting the command as being unattainable. Because we can’t bring our thoughts into conformity with Christ’s no matter how hard we try, we simply refuse to make the effort, refusing to take the verse seriously. If we chose to believe it instead, crushing Progressivism would be easy.

Retaking the USA: From Darkness and Depravity
Stand Firm Against Progressivism Knowing profound change must occur, if we are to survive as the land of the free and the home of the brave, it is clear that a group of patriotic Christians and others of faith must be strong enough, committed enough and determined enough to make a stand. Only then can the course of American history be altered, precisely like it was in the Revolutionary era. What is needed, however, isn’t simply a renewal in patriotism. Our need is more fundamental than this. If we want change that will last, if we want our core values to be restored, if we want our way of life to flourish once again, we are the ones who will need to change—not the Progressives. Being degenerate by nature, most of them are incapable of changing—not for the better anyway. This is not true for us. If we change, America will change. If we don’t, the Children of Darkness will secure their victory and the United States we have known will cease to exist. To survive and once again thrive, we must embrace the fact that Christ placed us in this position. It is for such a time as this that we have been groomed. It is up to us, ordinary people, to stand strong for the USA. Nothing less than a renewed commitment to godliness will accomplish the goal we desire. This is why Retaking the USA: From Darkness and Depravity has been written. If you read the book, it will change you forever—no doubt about it.
